Points to note when scanning Gunpla with SCANOSYS® MOBILE

Please check the regulations below before scanning Gunpla.

 1 

  • Please be sure to use a genuine Gunpla kit (including decals). It is possible to use the runners, plastic plates, and putty from Gunpla genuine kits. In addition, materials other than Gunpla genuine kits may be used even if they have been processed in a way that does not retain their original shape.

  • Please refrain from posting anything that violates public order or morals or that may infringe on the rights of third parties. Please note that if our staff determines that your data violates the rights of a third party, such as copyright, trademark rights, portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, etc., we may delete your data or suspend your account.

  • Please do not scan the following Gunpla models as they are not suitable for this service.

  1. SD series

  2. Figure-rise Standard series

  3. Other items that deviate significantly from humanoids, such as battleships, mobile armor, and tanks (* Items that are close to humanoids such as Zeong and Z'Gok can be scanned)

Painting and materials

・Black parts that absorb light

・Highly glossy parts that reflect light (brass wire, metal parts, plating, metallic paint, candy paint, etc.)

・Clear parts that transmit light

・Illumination using LEDs

・It may not be possible to scan kits made of plated or clear parts, or if the plated or clear parts are separate from other parts.

 

Shape that tends to reduce scan accuracy

・Thin shapes/surfaces (cloak, etc.)

・Slim shape (antenna less than 1mm)

- Areas that are in shadow, such as the back side of the shield or the back of the vernier

- Vehicles that are not humanoid, such as spheres

 

Example of aircraft with quality deterioration

- Areas that are difficult to see due to shadows, such as thin shapes, the back side of shields, and the back of verniers and mono-eyes.

Remove the action pole

Use the eraser tool to remove any unwanted parts in the 3D data, such as the action pole.

Scanning

You can generate 3D data for free up to 5 times per month.
